I have learned that healing is not found by hiding from my own pain. I have also learned that hope is not usually born in a bubble. Rather it really does take a village to help us emerge from some of the storms we face in life. As a chaplain I work with public safety peers, healthcare providers,and community leaders on a daily basis to help first responders remain healthy, recover quicker, and even experience post traumatic growth. 

I have personally found it healthier and more beneficial for those I care for, if I work as part of an integrated team or network. Therefore I have made a decision to formalize my work of collaboration in another intentional, more defined way.
